Technologies and processes

Printing technology

The specific letterpress printing technology, which we use, is the better alternative of popular flexo and affords more opportunities for achieving images of the highest quality. It is also called high printing, because of the relief printing plates used, where the image, which is to be printed, is raised over the non-printing zones. The high productivity of our printing machines allows flexibility and short terms of order execution.

Gallus R 200B

Its technical features, namely: printing up to 7 colours (incl. back – side printing and production of 3-face labels) + hot - foil stamping + UV varnish (overall or partial) + die cutting + embossing (relief) – all these are in – line processes, which offer to our customers a finished solution for their ideas.

Printing up to 6 colours + UV varnish (overall or partial) + die cutting + embossing (relief).
All these opportunities, combined in one technological line, guarantee quality, fastness and precision in the production as well as exclusive efficiency both in medium - sized and long printing series.

Additional and finishing processes

In order to achieve impressive and completed vision of your labels, we offer a wide range of finishing processes: application of UV varnish, hot – foil stamping, relief printing, die cutting.

Application of UV varnish: matt or glossy varnish with the possibility for overall or partial lacquering of separate elements or sectors of the label;

Apart from aesthetic impact (improves product image by adding lustre), the main function of varnish is the preservation of colours for a longer period of time, incl. in case the label is exposed to adverse effects from the environment. UV varnish protects the label from mechanical damages such as erasure of images and texts.

Hot – foil stamping is a method of transferring metalized or pigmented foil over a carrier through heat and pressure. Foil can be golden, silver, holographic as well as in different metalized or fluorescent colours. The application of additional effects through the method of hot – foil stamping gives a wide range of possibilities for production of unique in appearance and difficult in degree of complexity designs.

Embossing is a process of creating a three – dimensional image on the printed material. The relief can be of different height and it is used to emphasize separate elements of the design. This is the ideal solution for products, on which it is necessary to accentuate or which should be easily recognized by the end user. It is an excellent method for multiple increase of the attraction of the ready - made product and last, but not the least, for creating the impression of quality and product superiority.

Die - cutting is a compulsory element of the production of pressure – sensitive self -adhesive labels on roll. This is the process, in which the label acquires real outlines and form - only the face material of the printed self – adhesive material is cut. Meanwhile the matrix waste (matrix skeleton) is removed and labels remain on the siliconized liner. Our customers have the opportunity to choose a strictly specific form, designed according to the package of the respective product or manufactured in conformity with their logo or brand. We can also offer you a great variety of standard – form dies.

Inspection

The quality of printing is guaranteed by digital control of processes and precise video control. The availability of an inspection system and slitting – rewinding equipment for the printed labels is their quality warranty as well as it allows labels to be manufactured on rolls in accordance with our customer’s requirements regarding quantity of labels on a roll, size of the spindle and outside diameter of roll, which are defined by the specific characteristics of the customer’s production process, in which the labels are applied.
