Printed laminate and production of laminate tubes

Laminate foil and tubes made from it are used mainly for products in pharmaceutical industry, cosmetic industry, chemical engineering and home care, food and beverage industry. Laminate foils are two major types: ABL (aluminium barrier laminate) and PBL (polymer barrier laminate). They both are multi - layer (in most cases – five - layer) structures of polymers and copolymers and barrier layer. In the case of ABL, the barrier is an aluminium layer with a certain thickness (most often - 12 or 20, more rarely - 30 microns); while in the case of PBL, a special polymer layer plays the role of a barrier.

Main manufacturer and supplier of laminate foils is Huhtamaki Germany – a world leader in the production of laminate and flexible packaging foils.

Laminate foils allow the application of high – quality process colour printing plus spot (Pantone) colours over the topmost layer as well as the application of additional effects such as hot/cold - foil stamping.

A laminate tube consists of a body, a shoulder and a cap. The laminate tubes, produced from the above - mentioned foils, group according to two main indicators: tube diameter and tube volume. Depending on customer’s needs, the most often used tubes are 25, 28, 30, 35, 40 и 50 mm in diameter. Tube volume most often varies from 25 to 250 ml.
You have the opportunity to choose the type and colour of shoulders and caps as well as additional options as top-seal applicator.

Each consumer of laminate tubes should possess (or have the opportunity to assign to an outside executor) the necessary equipment for the successive filling of the product in the tube and its closing. Depending on the type of the tube used, tube-filling machines and automats work with heated air or on the basis of induction.
